David is a seasoned business leader of over 30 years. Growing up in an entrepreneur family, he spent his school holidays working at his parents’ business. After school he joined the family business full-time, rapidly rising to National Sales and Marketing Director at Pyrotec. After 10 years he ventured on his own to found Chorus Property Group. Chorus now operates across South Africa, serving clients in residential property rental and sectional title management. Having partnered with eXp Realty for property sales services, David also leads one of the fastest growing real estate sales teams in South Africa.

David’s experience of building businesses in various sectors of the South African socio-economic ladder means he can relate to all types of businesses.

David is author of The Expert Landlord book, the only book on property management in South Africa. David serves the property industry as a past director of the Institute of Estate Agents of South Africa and as a non-executive director of a large social housing company, Yeast City Housing.

David believes that success is built on solid values, a growth mindset, a never give-up attitude, and old-fashioned hard work. He believes that business exists to serve people and society, and that a caring, people-centric approach needs to work hand-in-hand with an uncompromising commitment to excellence in performance.

David is husband to his beautiful wife Karen and father to 3 daughters. He presently resides in stunning Cape Town, although he misses the wonderful 9 years lived in Johannesburg.

Besides spending time with his family, he counts as his hobbies drawing and reading (he reads at least 20 books per year), and ultra-marathon running (David has completed 5 x 80km+ ultra marathons).
